Weekly Menu Plan #36

I love menu planning and seeing other’s dinner plans! I’m weird like that 😉 As I’ve shared before, being in the kitchen is my happy place so I love finding meals that are new but I also never forget our favorites! These will link to the author’s original recipe unless it’s my own recipe/creation that I don’t have a link for… yet.

If you need some inspiration for how to create menu plans you can read here where I go into detail about how I make a plan for our food week and here to read how I create our grocery list.

We’ve got TWO birthdays this week! Anders’ birthday is on Monday and Cade’s birthday is on Tuesday. Wait- twins born on different days? Yes! It happens more often than you think although I’ve yet to actually find statistics on it. Anders was born at 9:59pm and Cade at 12:10am. Only two hours and eleven minutes apart but two different days. It will make celebrating them as they get older a little easier because there’s no fighting over who gets to pick the meal/dessert/etc for one day – they each have their own!

Sunday: Mini Pizzas – I’ve got mini pizza crusts in the freezer from one of my last freezer cooking sessions ready to go. Everyone will get to top their own pizzas so I’ve got a variety to please everyone. This is a great quick meal for busy nights when everything is chopped and ready.

Monday: Lo Mein – I picked up lots of veggies from Aldi on our way back home from vacation and this is always my favorite way to use a bunch of them up. It’s also Anders’ birthday today and he loves noodles!

Tuesday: Bean & Cheese Taquitos – These were a HUGE hit when I made them a couple weeks ago so I added them back to the menu for Cade’s birthday.

Wednesday: Honey Crunch Pork Chops – I’ve had these on my mind for a few weeks and I finally got the chance to put them on the menu. I’ll be serving them with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. I can’t wait!

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Dinner @ Church – Our church is hosting a Harvest Party tonight with a free meal, carnival games, and costume contest. It’s a fun time for everyone and a chance to let the kids run around in their costumes an extra time. And bonus that it’s inside so no need to layer underneath the costumes to stay warm!

Saturday: Homemade Pizza and Movie Night – you can find my pizza crust recipe here.

What’s on your menu this week? Any awesome recipes to share with me?
