I come to you today with a simple request for prayer. My sweet friend Kelli was diagnosed with breast cancer a little over four years ago. Her youngest was about six months old at the time. Her kids are now eight and four. And now she has been placed in hospice care.
I met Kelli through Babycenter when we were both pregnant with our oldest kids. Over the last nearly nine years I have come to learn what an amazing woman she is. She is a fighter, both with the cancer and her in life in general. She stands up for what she wants and will do anything for her kids. I feel honored to know such an incredible woman.
But she needs us now. She needs prayer warriors coming along side her to lift her up. Pray for comfort from the pain. Pray for peace over the future. Pray for her fiance, Jonathan. Pray for her children, Jessica and Kaden. Pray for her family. Pray for healing. But above all, pray that God’s will be done and that through these trials and circumstances that lives would be touched and a greater purpose would be served.
I wish I had a more insightful message to share today. I wish that I had something light and wonderful to talk about. But today my heart is heavy. It breaks for all those that are close to Kelli. It breaks for her parents, her children, and for Jonathan. And it especially breaks for Kelli who wants nothing more than to watch her children grow up.
“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.”
I’m linking this up with Kristin Hill Taylor for Three Word Wednesday.
