Inspired by one of my favorite blogs I thought it would be a great idea to look back each week at those things that brought me the most joy. This is far too fitting for my blog to ignore the idea so I look forward to posting these each week!
We had a special event in our house this week! Our little lady turned three! We celebrated with breakfast out and pizza and cupcakes for dinner. I can’t believe she’s three already! I did a birthday interview with her and it was so hard not to laugh at some of her answers!
I’m part of a local babywearing group and I checked out a “big kid” carrier (Lillebaby CarryOn Rebel) from the lending library this month. It’s rated for weights 20-60lbs so both babies are big enough (finally!) but I can also carry Mercedes in case she is getting worn out while shopping. However, I also realized that Jamison is still in the weight limit so for fun I put him in. We giggled so much! But this would be excellent for anyone with a special needs child that is on the bigger side.
I got a new book that I’m excited to work through! I went to college with Heidi and although this book has been out for quite some time I just bought it this week. I love the idea of taking a one or two sentence prompt to jumpstart my writing and using it to further my relationship with God? Even better!
We love wandering around Target on Friday mornings during our grocery shopping time. Mercedes usually finds all sorts of interesting things to explore. This week she discovered the hats in the girls section and insisted on trying some on with Daddy.
What brought you joy this week?

Oh Mercedes! What precious answers. We got Mae a vacuum from a free daycare closing garage sale in my parent’s town and then Grammie got her a vacuum for Christmas. Now both girls can vacuum at the same time if they want.
As far as my joy, the most recent was listening to James play with the kids while I lay sick and dying on the couch. They all have so much fun together. It really brings so much joy to my heart and soul.
When I sent her answers to Micah he said we apparently need to get her a vacuum. Of course by the time we get her one she probably won’t want one anymore!
I just love listening to Micah play with the kids. There is something so heartwarming about a dad that engages with his children. I’m so sorry you are sick! I’ll add you to my prayers. Hope you feel better soon.
