Inspired by one of my favorite blogs I thought it would be a great idea to look back each week at those things that brought me the most joy. This is far too fitting for my blog to ignore the idea so I look forward to posting these each week!
1. Getting back on the workout train
Since one of my monthly goals is to get in a minimum of three quality workouts per week I’ve been making exercise a priority. I’ve had to juggle my schedule around a bit but It feels great to sweat for a good reason again, ha! I managed to get in five great workouts this week and I’m really hoping to make that continue.
2. These goofballs
None of our children took pacifiers for very long but we still seem to have an abundance of them around the house. Every once in a while they will appear and the kids think they are so silly to walk around and pretend to be babies. Even these two get in on the action!
3. Light saber duels
She doesn’t turn down a good duel!
4. School carnival
The boys’ school hosted a carnival as a fundraiser on Friday night and it was a great time to chat with neighbors and let the kids be silly. They had fun playing games and eating all sorts of carnival foods and stocking up on silly prizes. We weren’t able to stay long but we had fun while we were there!
5. Date Night!
We are soaking up all the babysitting from my brother that we can before he graduates and leaves the area. We went to one of our absolute favorites for all you can eat sushi. And we definitely ate all we could… in fact I couldn’t eat my last couple pieces because I was afraid of everything coming back up. We know how to get our money’s worth!
6. Sushi boat!
We’ve learned how much we need to order to be given the coveted “sushi boat” versus just a plate of rolls. This was our second course. The first had two rolls and four pieces of sushi, this has six rolls and 2 pieces of sushi, and our last plate had two rolls of sushi. We shouldn’t have gone for the final two… maybe only a final one. But it was all AMAZING.
