Welcome back! If you are just joining us, we are using the YouVersion Bible App to follow a devotional together. Read THIS POST to get all the information you need to join in and then you can read THIS MORNING’S POST to see the promises we are focusing on this week.
DId you get a chance to spend some time with this week’s promises. I read them over and over and had such a hard time deciding which one stood out to me the most. Each one is so fantastic but the promise I am claiming this week is….
Decision to make? I’ll lead you in the right direction. We’ll have great fellowship as you talk it over with me.
I’ve talked before about following the path God sets before us. This is a subject near and dear to my heart. I’m still feeling that tug of doing something big. I’m still feeling that call to walk down the path he’s set before me. I’ve started. This blog is just the beginning. But I feel so unsure about the rest. I’m not unsure about actually doing it. I’m unsure about the how.
The great thing about this awesome God we serve? He already knows the how! He will lead me as I seek to do His will. And there will be JOY in His presence. JOY! Isn’t that what I long for? Isn’t that what I am doing? Finding joy in this life He has given me? Oh my how this verse fills my soul! If I seek His will and follow His path of life I will be filled with joy in His presence. Please, oh please!
And eternal pleasures at His right hand. Let us not forget that! There is nothing on this world that we can take with us. Not a single solitary penny, thread, paint chip, or chocolate chip. But eternal pleasures? Treasures that we store in heaven? Those can be in abundance if we choose to live His way. Our words and our actions can affect so much of our world. Are we choosing to live in a way that honors Him and shines His light in the darkness?
Father, Thank you again for your word. Thank you for your promises that still are fulfilled to this day. I thank you for the promise that if we seek you and do your will that you will guide us down your path and fill us with joy and eternal pleasures. I pray for those facing decisions, Lord, that they would seek your will in their choices. I pray that they would hear your voice with clarity. In Jesus name, Amen.
What promise stood out to you? Are you claiming one for your life this week?
