16 Best Buys at Sam’s Club

There is a constant battle between Sam’s Club vs. Costco in the online (and maybe real) world. Many people seem very passionate about which company they choose to be a part of and why their club is the better choice. Us? We are Sam’s Club members because when we got married MIcah was already a member. At that point there wasn’t a Costco in the area so we didn’t have a choice.

Sometime in the last five years(?) a Costco got built and we’ve still yet to check it out. Maybe someday. But for now? We love our Sam’s membership (hello seven person household!) and we have our staple items that we never, or at least very rarely, buy anywhere else. What are they?

Menu Plan #9

I love menu planning and seeing other’s dinner plans! I’m weird like that ๐Ÿ˜‰ As I’ve shared before, being in the kitchen is my happy place so I love finding meals that are new but I also never forget our favorites! These will link to the author’s original recipe unless it’s my own recipe/creation that I don’t have a link for… yet.

Sunday: Pizza Grilled Cheese – This is exactly how it sounds. Or at least how I think it would sound… Load the bread up with pizza toppings, cook, and dunk in homemade pizza sauce. Yum.

Monday: Corn Dog Muffins – Huge hit in our house and I realized I’ve haven’t made them lately so on to the menu they went! While there are LOTS of recipes on pinterest for this I usually just take my favorite corn bread recipe (or whichever I find first) and add diced hot dogs. I try to keep the hot dog chunks fairly small so they incorporate into the batter better. Lots of recipes just have one big chunk in the middle but then the ratio of batter:hot dog is way off and doesn’t work.

Nana Anna’s Banana Bread {Recipe}

I’ve been making this banana bread recipe for years! Nana Anna is my mom (hi, mom!) and she got this recipe ages ago from someone at work and it’s now one of her signature items. One of my favorite things about it is that it takes NO EGGS! This is great when I’m running low on eggs but have oodles of over ripe bananas on my counter that need to be used ASAP. It’s also great for people that have egg allergies or kiddos with egg allergies.

One of the other best things about this recipe? It’s incredible versatile! I’ve swapped out the flour for whole wheat or a combo of all purpose and whole wheat. I’ve swapped out the white sugar for brown sugar or a combo of both. I’ve also switched out the oil for applesauce or coconut oil! The only swap I’ve never tried is honey in place of sugar so if you know how to make that swap and try it with success let me know!

He is Risen!

Happy Easter, everyone! I am so thankful for a God that loved us so much he gave up His son so that we may have life. I’m incredibly humbled that I can be called a child of God and nothing I can do can earn this title but I am given it freely by accepting …
