It’s significantly lighter at 615am than at 545am. A simple 30 minutes makes a huge difference in the early morning hours. I liked the cloak of darkness last week because I could stay hidden from view. People didn’t need to see my slow progress or bad form. But today I was in the light. I needed to choose to keep going or hide in my house. Here I go.
How easily do we forget about thanking God for EVERYTHING. Oh sure, when I’m praying I thank Him for my husband, our children, our health, and for generally blessing us, but what about the other things? The things we so easily take for granted because they are always there?
Imagine what the world could be like if we took the time to encourage each other’s pursuits with enthusiasm or excitement!
I’ve never done it before but I felt called to choose a word this year. Or rather, a word was chosen for me.

Community doesn’t need to mean something big and fancy, or elaborate meals, or a pinterest perfect home. It’s coming together in a safe place to build relationships.

Last week my final babies turned two. Wow. For eight years I’ve held on to high chairs, infant bathtubs, totes of clothes, strollers, and countless other baby items. But they are two. And there are no more coming. Five is good for us, thank you very much! No one in this house needs an infant bathtub again. There’s no need for an entire tub of 6-9month clothes. Not to mention the giant tote of baby girl clothes from the sole girl that is almost four. Oy. Let it go!
